Step 1: Search our current car auctions for the car of your dreams.
If we currently don’t offer the car you want, you will have the option to save your search and have us notify you at your registered email account when we find it at the dealer auctions.
Step 2: Get to know your target car better.
We encourage you to do as much additional research as possible before you decide to take part in our car auctions. Get familiar with the available models and options. Explore local classifieds, other online listing services, paying attention to prices with relationship to year, mileage and options. Take a test drive. When you've set your sights on a particular model (or class) and know how much you would willingly spend for it, come back and bid on Motobidia.com, potentially saving thousands of dollars from the best offer you have seen elsewhere. Remember that our unique setup allows us to pass savings on to you that cannot reasonably be achieved by the traditional car dealership.
Before you make a decision to place a bid on any of car auctions, we strongly encourage you to check the car's history using AutoCheck (or any other similar service). We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, and learn about the car you are interested in as much as possible beforehand. This is why we offer FREE AutoCheck vehicle history reports to registered users on all auction listings.
To help you better understand the value of each car listed, we have provided NADA market valuations for the trade-in and retail values. Those averages factor in the general condition, mileage as well as options of each particular car. To learn more about this, please visit nadaguides.com.
Step 3: You have found the car of your dreams! Submit your best offer.
Keep in mind that unlike eBay, our auction system will NOT bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid (incremental bidding); your bid on motobidia.com automatically becomes the highest offer. For instance, even though the minimum increment to outbid the current offer of $18,000 may be only $100, and you submit a bid for $19,000, your bid will be registered as $19,000 and not $18,100.
Note that due to the nature of our setup and relatively quick turnaround, it is imperative that you secure the necessary funds prior to participating in our car auctions.
Step 4: The auction ends with you as the highest* bidder. It's time to secure the deal.
Our system will send you an email confirming that you have won our auction. The confirmation email will instruct you how to send a 10% deposit via PayPal to secure your bid. Your security deposit is FULLY REFUNDABLE if we don't acquire your car at the dealer auction in case another dealer outbids us. Please keep in mind that if we don't receive the security deposit within the specified time frame, we will not pursue the acquisition of your car at the dealer auction and will permanently suspend your motobidia.com account. You should also be aware that your deposit becomes NON-REFUNDABLE if we acquire the car on your behalf at the dealer auction AND you fail to pay the remaining 90% of the purchase price within the specified time frame (usually within 48 hours of notification of such acquisition).
Step 5: Congratulations! We have acquired the car on your behalf at the dealer auction and you have paid for it in full.
It’s time to get your newly acquired vehicle home. We will ship your car home at our expense within the continental US (48 contiguous states). However, if you are like us and you decide that a 3,500-mile cross-country road trip is your cup of tea, we will gladly make arrangements to have your car released to you at the dealer auction location.
Step 6: Enjoy your newly acquired vehicle and tell your family and friends to "bid their local dealer good-bye" and buy their next car from us!
Satisfied customers like you are our sales force. Our customer referral program guarantees you $100 for every customer** you send our way. See our FAQ page for details on the referral program.
